Travel is second nature for Joe and Brittany, so it was only right that their proposal and engagement happen during an adventure! The two met on an airplane (Brittany’s a flight attendant) and that was just the start to their many adventures! With her birthday coming up they began to plan a fun trip, somewhere they’d never been. Looking through various flights and deals, they found the hidden gem that is Gateway Canyons Resort and that was that!
Joe and Brittany flew into Montrose and traveled up to the resort for a week of birthday bliss. Horseback riding, private dinners, spa treatments were all on the agenda. It was the perfect distraction to what would ultimately become Joe’s proposal! They went on a helicopter tour where Joe popped the question. To add to the amazing week they had planned, they were now engaged! Joe had set up the perfect engagement session to celebrate with photos the next evening, and it was such a joy to be able to watch them recount their adventures of the week.
We explored the resort property, every hidden nook and cranny (all of them BEAUTIFUL! How do they do it??) and basked in the gorgeous evening weather. Joe had a book he made that led Brittany through the story of them, everything he cherishes about her, and ultimately asking her to marry him.
