Weddings in Palisade have some of the most stunning backdrops, from the Palisade wineries and orchards to Mt. Garfield towering on the horizon. Known as the “Napa Valley” of Colorado, the wedding venues here in the valley seem to form around the beautiful views that I die for as a Palisade wedding photographer.
If you love the romantic glow of winery weddings, Palisade’s sprawling vineyards are just for you! Drawing couples from all over the state and beyond, Colorado’s wine country is a top destination for weddings in Colorado. Palisade weddings are wonderful because of our longer season here. Outdoor weddings can be held from April through October (sometimes even November!) with relatively uneventful weather and warm evenings. While July and August are quite hot in the valley, the light lasts well into the evening allowing some of those golden hour celebrations I love the most, after the heat of the day has gone down. The purple glow of the mountains and the mesa at sunset is one of the prettiest colors in the world. With amazing wedding planners, bakers and florists with gorgeous work, your Palisade wedding is destined to be perfect!

Colterris Winery – This beautiful winery overlooking the Colorado River, with Mt. Garfield standing grandly on the horizon, offers such diverse backdrops in an elegant setting. From the peach orchards and vineyards of the winery, to the lavender fields and the magnificent overlook, your photographs are sure to be stunning here!
Colorado Wine Country Inn – Palisade’s top destination for winery weddings, the inn features diverse spots for your ceremony surrounded by vineyards and a great vista of Mt. Garfield.
Varaison Vineyards – This vineyard venue also features an English rose garden with historic gazebo for your smaller ceremony. Situated right near the heart of Palisade and beneath Mt. Garfield, this venue has a lot of beautiful backdrops for your wedding.
Amy’s Courtyard – This French winery venue features a historic barn, gardens, and a beautiful gazebo surrounded by vineyards with an amazing view of Mt. Garfield. Truly the quintessential Palisade space!
Twee Wingerd Plaas – This South African-inspired retreat hosts a small vacation rental and winery all in one beautiful location. Perfect for smaller, intimate celebrations.

I strive to capture the day as it unfolds, every candid moment to perfectly preserve your story. I’m a fly on the wall and many guests say they never noticed me! However I’m not afraid to step up and make family formals fly by (people need to know where to stand and what to do with their hands!) I’m a happy medium between posed and candid.
