As Molly became visible, walking down the aisle through the beautiful white barn and out onto the deck, Connor’s face lit up into the biggest grin. This was the day he’d finally marry Molly, after years of knowing she was the one. Their spring wedding at Vista View Events was a long time coming after they met on a rafting trip one summer. The two shared a date at Buffalo Wild Wings the very next day, and the rest is history!
About that first meeting, Connor told me, “I knew Molly was the one on our first date. She was talking about something with her friend, and her nose kept doing this cute bouncing thing, like Cindy Lou Who. After a week or so, with all the laughter, engaging conversations, and the nose thing, I just knew.”
Molly remembers the first time they met with similar feelings. She told her mom that first day, “He is super cute. And if I married him, I would never be bored!” She couldn’t have been more right!
Through their ceremony, Molly and Connor incorporated a little bit of both of their backgrounds. Connor led their guests in a Hawaiian song and a bible passage was read. The best part was as the two exchanged vows they’d written themselves. The whole ceremony had love and laughter – perfectly encompassing their relationship.
Molly’s father described her and Connor’s connection perfectly in his toast to the couple. He began speaking about how Molly has always been a seeker, looking for who she was and what would make her feel whole. In getting to know Connor’s family through the wedding process, he came to learn that Connor was very similar. When the two met, they realized immediately that the other was what they’d been looking for all along. Their wedding was filled with the quote, “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” and that perfectly sums up Connor and Molly!
Thank you, Molly and Connor, for having me along on your journey as you begin your married lives together! I’m so grateful to know you and have been able to capture your beautiful wedding day. I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
